Company History
DİMER
DİMER was established in 1988 in order to explore and exploit mine and marble quarries in Diyarbakır. Up to 1997, Dimer was a modest company employing 30 persons and consisting of 2 quarries and a management office. At that time, it had produced only block marble in quarries. When it comes to 2000, the number of its quarries increased up to 3, its first factory was established in Diyarbakır Organized Industrial site and the total number of its employees amounted to 100. At that juncture, in addition to block marble, it has offered also processed products to the market and started to export to overseas countries.
Today, with its 450 employees, DİMER MERMER, has gained a prominent position among the leading companies in marble industry and continues to strengthen this position every year.
DİMER is particularly proud of that it has pioneered to render Adıyaman to a marble city following Diyarbakır. Meanwhile, the efforts are underway to establish a new factory in Mersin in order to process the Mediterranean marbles.
DİMER AND MARBLE
Dimer introduced the marbles extracted from its first quarry, developed in 1985, into market under the name of Orient Pink. Having received great appreciation from customers, Orient Pink became the first registered marble of Diyarbakır according to the records of the General Directorate of Mining Affairs. Beginning from 2000, DİMER MERMER has extended not only its product range, but also its export range. In 2008, it became an exporter company supplying to approximately 60 countries in the World including Italy, Greece, China and Taiwan.
DİMER has been launching at least one new product into international natural stone market and transforming crude marble derived from its quarries in various districts into attractive products in demand all over the World through its plants in Diyarbakır. Dimer’s factory, which was equipped with only 1 ST at the beginning, now became one of the greatest and most modern processing plants in Turkey, thanks to the replacement investments in almost each year.
Having made a genuine contribution to the marble range of Turkey through Orient Pink, DİMER, has maintained this contribution by means of Sandwave, Tigre Bej, Koky, Chem Grey and Brown Espera and thus gained a strong position among the companies deciding marble fashion in the World. DİMER’s pleasant surprise for 2010 was Crema Nera. Crema Nera, as a new shining star of the marble world will become a magnificent couple together with Brown.
DİMER GROUP COMPANIES
Another success story by DİMER has been written down for basalt: DİMER started to offer basalt (the inexhaustible black stone of Diyarbakır) to world market as an alternative to granite from 2005 and established DİBAZ A.Ş. in order to develop this industry further.
Now DİMER is a potent firm aspiring to furnish the streets and facades of cities with an extremely durable and aesthetic Diyarbakır Basalt by means of DİBAZ.
There is one more firm established by DİMER in 2005: DİYOR. Thanks to ARTEDECOR, a trademark created by itself, DİYOR has become an absolute must for great construction projects. The ARTEDECOR trademark becomes increasingly effective day by day in door and kitchen products.
And DİMİN. DİMİN is the mining pillar of DİMER as described in its articles of association. Within only a two-year period, this company also achieved to be a rising star in metallic mining and ranked a position among the leading firms of mining industry.
The last company established by DİMER is DİMER KAMPANİ IRAK in Erbil.
DİMER MERMER as the flagship of DİMER GROUP, provides marble solutions to and develops solution partnerships on project basis with various companies all over the world.
The number of employees employed by DİMER GROUP will amount to 1000 at the first half of 2011.

AWARDS
The Association of Mine Exporters of İstanbul, awarded DİMER with bronze star in 2007 on the basis of export ranking and with silver star in the years of 2008 and 2009. Having been honored with lots of awards since 1997, DİMER received the Blank Check prize from the Bankers Association in 2010 as a certification of its reliability.
